Old Testament People of Commitment
Ours sunday School lesson for January 25, 2009, speaks of Samson's mother, who was barren. However, an angel of the Lord appeared and said unto her, "thou shalt conceive and bear a son...Now therefore beware,...and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:" (Judges13:3-4) What other specific instructions did the angel of the Lord give Samson's mother? What things were considered unclean to eat? What was special about Samson and how was he going to be used in God's plan?

Monoah's wife followed a prenatal diet.
It is interesting that the mother of Samson remained nameless, just an common person who was a vessel for God. I know as parent, we should nurture our children growth in all aspect of life especially their relationship with God. Just an question... I have been told that a child should not be baptize until he/she is older and fully understand. Is this true? I would appreciate your comments.
