The Way of New Life
In the lesson for May 17, "Come One and All" (Ephesians 3:1-13), Paul writes to the Ephesians from prison. He did not let his circumstance prevent him from fulfulling the mandate to witness to the utmost parts of the world. Paul's mission was to reveal the mystery of Christ to the Gentiles. The mystery is that through the death and resurrection of Christ, salvation is available to all, and Jews and Gentiles would make up one body (the body of Christ) of believers. The message for us is that we should share God's love with everyone, regardless of their station in life. No group is to be excluded. If we have predjuces against any segment of the population, we can not be effective witnesses for Christ. We must let the Holy Spirit minister to us to prepare our heart's for His service. God's Grace is sufficient.

Paul knew his calling was to preach to all men the unsearchable riches of God. In other words, there are no limits to the riches of God. Paul was appointed by God to preach to both Jews and Gentiles as he taught about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. What an awesome and beautiful task! All of his suffering was meant for our glory.
