The Summer Sender

Many years ago a famous performer sang about the “Summer Wind.” Many, many other songs over the years have included the season in their title or subject matter. June brings summer to most Americans and the beginning of countless discussions concerning vacations, the weather, outdoor activities, graduations, weddings, and all manner of assorted good times. Rarely do you hear a word of thanks or appreciation for the Summer Sender.

Psalm 74:17 states, “You have set all the borders of the earth; You have made summer and winter.” God has set the seasons and sends the summer. So as you feast your eyes on verdant landscapes; enjoy activities under the canvas of bright skies; and feel yourself refreshed by the summer wind, remember to praise and thank God, the Summer Sender.

Stay Prayed Up,
Rev. Rodrick Burton
