The four books of the gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) describe the crucifixion of Jesus, however the book of Luke is more descriptive. The lesson for April 5, 2009 talks about Jesus "Facing Death," from Luke 23: 32-46. (We will begin the lesson with questions today, maybe we can get a little discussion going). Was Jesus crucified alone? Was this a fulfillment to other scriptures, if so, which scriptures?
What words were spoken from the cross and who spoke them?
Explain the purpose of Jesus suffering.
