Called to Choose Life

Moses renewed the covenant of God with the Israelites. God wanted the people to love and obey Him. Moses reminded them that although there would be some tough and difficult times, God would bring them through, if they return to the Lord with all thine heart and all thy mind. When we recall what God has already done for us, it provides assurance that He is with us and that He is the ultimate provider. The key verse (Deuteronomy 30: 6) from the lesson passage Deuteronomy 30:1-10 states, "And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord they God with all thine heart, and all thy soul, that thou mayest live." The Lord will cut away the sins and disobedience from our hearts and the hearts of our children through the shedding of blood, He will put love for Him in our hearts with His sovereign power, so we can fulfill our life purpose. Moses said to the Israelites if they would turn from their wickedness and obey God, He would bless them with plenty in their work, in the fruit of their bodies, fruit of their cattles, and in their land. This was "The Promises of Life" with the Israelites before they were to enter the promised land, Canaan.

Do you think that if our nation would recognize our sinful ways and return to God, and obey Him commandments, our nation could be turned around?
