The Path to New Life

"Good News Is for Sharing," is the Sunday School lesson title for this week. The disciples received the new that Jesus had raisen. Jesus made several appearances during the seven weeks between the Resurrection and Pentecost. The scriptures Luke 24: 44-49 speaks of the first time Jesus appeared before all the disciples at the same time. He helped them to distinguish between an illusion (see Jesus Is Alive) and "the real thing" by showing them His wounds. He affirmed that all scriptures had been fulfilled concerning His messiahship. Jesus' primary purpose was to equip the believer for witnessing and, by His ascension, to release the power of the Holy Spirit upon His followers. As Christians, we have a duty to tell the story and to spread the Good News about the resurrection of Jesus.
